Mount Pleasant Wines is a historic New South Wales winery with a significant portfolio of old vineyard holdings. It is located at Pokoblin, on the slopes of the Brokenback Mountain Range at the southern end of the Hunter Valley, and is particularly known for its wines from the Semillon and Shiraz grape varieties.The winery is one of the biggest award-winners in the history of Australian wine, and is closely linked with the legendary winemaker Maurice O'Shea who is regarded as having produced some of the greatest wines ever made in Australia. 2010 vintage was very good for the region.

Delicious example of a hunter shiraz. Drinking really well now, we enjoyed it after an hour in the decanter.
