Martinborough Vineyard Home Block Pinot Noir Vintage 2017

Situated within the Wairapa on North Island and established in 1980. Home Block, the core range, is the location of the oldest vines. Some now 45 years old and the estate lays claim to the oldest Pinot vines in New Zealand. 

Typical blend, Pinot Noir. 75cl bottle. Abv 13%.

Bottle condition, screw cap, label excellent, level high fill.

Tasting note 30.06.2024

Medium ruby color. Suavage, Leather bondage scents on top nose. Strong savoury earthy tone just layers below those leather nose. Aroma profile changes into bouquet of sweet red potpourri scents after one hour. Spice dry red fruits taste. Crispy acidity and slight grippy tannin noted. Medium-long sweet dry fruits aftertaste.
