La Rioja Alta Vina Ardanza Vintage 2010

La Rioja Alta is one of the foremost estates in the Rioja region, formed in 1890 by five Riojan and Basque families. It is particularly known for its classically-styled, spicy Gran Reserva reds that can age gracefully for many decades. The winery shares its name with the Rioja Alta (Upper Rioja) subregion in which many of its operations are based. In the very best years this wine is labeled as selection especial as this 2010 vintage is.

Typical blend Tempranillo, Garnacha, Graciano. 75cl bottle. Abv 14%

Bottle condition, capsule excellent, label excellent, wine level high fill

Another good bottle. Gave it a 2 hour decant though think 3 would have been best. Red fruits, orange, meaty. Classic Rioja. Young still but drinking well. These are going to go down quickly as the 01 and 04 did before them.
