Gaja Dagromis Barolo Vintage 2010

One of Italy's best known producers. Founded in Barbaresco in 1859. Angelo Gaja took over in 1970 and is largely credited with the on going success of the firm. The reputation made on their Barolo's and Barbaressco's.  The 2010 vintage was excellent for the region.

Typical blend, Nebbiolo. 75cl bottle. Abv 14%

Bottle condition, capsule good, label good, level in neck

High expectations for this one. Always cool to have a wine made by Gaja and this did not disappoint. Two hour decant before climbing in. Medium-bodied with hints of cherry, leather and mushroom. Was magnificent with beef short ribs. Drink now and over the next 5 years. Cheers!
