Delas Hermitage Domaine des Tourettes Vintage 2014 Magnum

The Delas family have been involved in the production of wine in the Rhône Valley since 1835, taking the current name in 1924. The wines have been received well throughout the 20th century, This wine, until 2008 also had Marquise de le Tourette on the label. The 2014 vintage was a difficult one in the Rhone Valley, but as is often the way the best producers made some great wines.

Typical blend, Syrah. 1.5 Magnum bottle. Abv 13.5%. 

Bottle condition, capsule good, label good, wine level in neck.

Very dark red colour. Small glass over an hour. A lot of tannin going on, oak, vanilla, though the nose is more open and has some pretty fruits. This is still youthful.
