Chateau Sociando-Mallet Vintage 1987

Although Sociando Mallet was left out of the 1855 classification it is considered equal to many classed growths. A claaicaly structured wine with fine tannins and great ageing potential.

Typical blend, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc. 75cl bottle Abv 13%

Bottle condition, capsule good, label good, wine level top shoulder

Classic mature Medoc. Lovely earthy, cassis and light cedar notes. Elegant with the fruit still very much alive, it's a pleasure to drink. Lighter than the other Sociando I had but this must be the vintage.
