Owned by the Dourthe group this well respected estate, like many in the Graves appellation, produce both red and white wines. it is an estate we have followed for many years first tasting the 1982 back in the day. Château Rahoul is one of only a handful of Graves wines to belong to the highly selective Union des Grands Crus de Bordeaux. The chateau produces alluring, distinctive wines, with juicy, dark fruit flavours and delicate tannins. It expresses all the fruit character and elegance of Merlot, enhanced by the complexity of Cabernet Sauvignon and Petit Verdot.
Typical blend, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Petit Verdot. 75cl bottle ABV 13%
Bottle condition, capsule excellent, label excellent, wine level high fill
Critic tasting note:
(2017 vintage) "This ripe wine is savory and spicy. Its tannins and structure contrast with the juicy red-berry flavors. It will develop quickly into a soft, fruity wine. Drink from 2021. Roger Voss" - Wine Enthusiast
