The original estate, located in Barsac, was purchased in 1777 by Elysee Nairac, who built the Chateau and developed the vineyards. Over time the estate has passed through many owners and almost halted wine production. Fast forward to 1971 and it was purchased by Tom Heater. He restored the estate and once again the estate produced age worthy sweet wines, worthy of its original 2nd Cru status. 1986 was a very good year for the sweet wines of Bordeaux.
Typical blend, Semillon, Sauvignon Blanc, Muscadelle. 75cl bottle. Abv 13.5%
Bottle condition, capsule good, label good, wine level base of neck
Tasting Note 26.01.202
From 750. In much better shape than some of the comments here suggest.. Very good with foie gras.
