Chateau Musar Vintage 2014

The weather patterns were quite different in the Bekaa Valley for the 2014 vintage, with a mild winter and hardly any rain. The Cabernet Sauvignon was affected the most and yields are down as a result.

Typical blend, Cabernet Sauvignon, Carignan, Cinsault. 75cl bottle. Abv 14%

Bottle condition, capsule excellent, label excellent, wine level in neck.

Producer Tasting Notes

A deep red colour, with aromas of sweet cherry, plum and dried fruit together with a subtle spice element and hint of tobacco. The wine has a soft, rounded mouthfeel with lots of flavour and fruit concentration – caramel, mocha, ripe red fruits which are supported with soft, velvety tannins and a spicy finish

Dark red in the glass. Dried plum, raisins, cherry, tobacco, smoke and pepper on the nose. Fresh acidity with dried fruits reminiscent of the nose on the palate. Oak and vanilla on the palate as well.

Even better on day 2 with the tannins backing off.
