Chateau Moulin Saint Georges Vintage 1990

This Saint Emilion Grand Cru has been owned by the Vauthier Family, whom also own Chateau Ausone,since 1921. Situated at the foot of the Saint Emilion Plateau just below Ausone. The two properties are closely linked and Moulin has been described as "the little brother" by some.

Typical blend, Merlot, Cabernet Franc. 75cl bottle. Abv 13.5%

Bottle condition, capsule good, label good, wine level base of neck.

Didn't care for the smell or the first taste - a bit musty. After several minutes this wine opened up nicely. Grat balance of muted fruit - no bright berries in this - and tannins. I would drink the 90 again. Probably won't improve but I enjoyed it.
