A lovely vintage for the region. The current owners the Tesserons bought the property in 1959 and started a program of renovation in the vineyard and the Chateau.

Typical Blend, 55% Cabernet Sauvignon, 40% Merlot, 5% Cabernet Franc. 75cl Bottle, Abv% Not stated.

Bottle condition, Capsule good, Label whole, but held on with an elastic band, wine level top shoulder.

The aromas are superb: roasted red bell pepper, blackcurrant, meat juices, with hints of blood and smoke. It really packs a punch! The palate is dense and full-bodied, with a very pleasant, smooth texture. It just lacks a touch of depth and persistence, despite the lovely marine notes, to truly compete in the next category. A very fine, mature Saint-Estèphe!
