Purchased by the Lurton family in 1965 and producing both red and white wines. Situated in the Pessac-Leognan commune of Graves. Wet weather and hailstones meant that the vintage was tricky and low yielding, relying on the skill of the winemaker.
Typical blend, Sauvignon Blanc, Semillon. 75cl bottle. Abv 13%
Bottle condition, capsule good, label good, wine level in neck
Tasting Note 89 points
Fresh, lighter style of dry white Bordeaux focused on the crisp, yellow fruits and limestone character.
In the broader genre context: “At their best, 2013 Pessac-Léognan white wines are fresh, vibrant, lively, fruit-filled and complex.”
