The modern history of this Canon Fronsac estate started when the Robert family took over 80 years ago. The appellation is a small area on the right (northern) bank of the Dordogne river, just west of Libourne and the wines are considered superior to those of Fronsac. 2014 vintage was a very good for the region, but somewhat overlooked due to the two following vintages.
Typical blend, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Malbec. 75cl bottle. Abv 13.5%
Bottle condition capsule good, label good, wine level in neck
10/06/2019 -89 Points
Given a couple of hours to open and it's a fantastic budget Bordeaux.
