This fine example of Beaujolais is from the single vineyard Clos du Grand Carquelin in Moulin-a-Vent. Originally owned by Thorin until it was purchased By Louis Jardot in 1996, who still label the wine as Chateau des Jacques Clos du Grand Carquelin. Beaujolais is a wine traditional enjoyed in it youth, but is capable of ageing well especially the Cru's from Morgan and Moulin-a-Vent. 1967 was considered a reasonable vintage for the region. In a lighter style.
