Chateau Cissac is firmly a Wine Cru favourite. A rightly popular traditional claret from an estate that maintains consistence from vintage to vintage. 1989 was excellent for the estate and the region.

Typical blend, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Petit Verdot.

Bottle condition, capsule good, label good, wine level base of neck

Initially very muted on the nose, but with a few hours’ air it opens to become quite approachable; leather, ground coffee, spice; still sturdy and well-structured, with decent lift;
