Chateau Beychevelle Vintage 1975

As it says on the website -Ever since it was first produced, and down through the various vintages, Château Beychevelle has reflected the elegance and finesse of Saint Julien's finest terroirs.Graceful and complex, with a tremendous aromatic richness, Château Beychevelle is made from the best plots in the vineyard and undergoes a rigorous selection process.It reveals its character after about ten years, and can be kept for several decades, depending on the vintage. 1975 vintage was incredible tannic and as such has taken a long time for those tannins to soften.

Typical Blend, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc. 75cl bottle. Abv% not stated.

Bottle condition, capsule good, label good, wine level top shoulder.

This was surprisingly still in great shape! Much of the fruit is gone and the finish was a bit short, but all of the classic notes of barnyard and leather are still present. Very enjoyable wine.
