A wine from the Borie Manoux stable and run, since 1961, by Emile Casteja. A traditional claret and a firm favourite of ours. A reasonably good vintage where the left bank Medoc's faired a little better than the right.

Bottle condition, capsule good, label good, wine level in neck

No detailed note. Rich and lovely. Some Bordeaux typicity - cigar leaf and pencil shavings. Becoming rich- not in terms of fullness but with multiple-layeredness. This is drinking fabulously now but will reward more time, potentially lots of time.
