Bride Valley Brut Reserve Vintage 2018

The first harvest Of the late Steven Spurrier's Bride Valley was gathered in 2011 and the grapes taken from the vineyard to nearby Furleigh Estate. Three elegantly sparkling wines produced in the traditional Champagne method were released in 2014,  a classic clean Blanc de Blancs, a Brut Reserve and a Rosé for summer drinking named Rosé Bella in honour of his wife. The 2018 vintage was very good indeed for both sparkling and still wines of the UK.

Typical blend, Pinot Noir, Chardonnay. 75cl bottle. Abv 12%

Tasting Note

"Superb clarity with yellow fruit and floral tones supported by lovely intense toasted bread, butterscotch and pastry characters. Tight and nervy, complex and long" IWSC 2022, 91 points.
