About the wine
In 1880, Joseph Drouhin, who was from the Chablis region originally, chose the city of Beaune to found the business that bears his name. Over the years and with each generation, the vineyard estate grew. At the same time, the founder's passionate search for excellence and knowledge was handed down like a family heirloom; Maison Joseph Drouhin continues to ensure this valuable family heritage. The 1973 vintage of this wine was included in the famous "Judgment of Paris" wine tasting. 2018 was a very good vintage for the white wines of Burgundy. This bottle would make a great way to toast the famous tasting on this its 50th anniversary.
Typical blend Chardonnay, 75cl bottle. Abv 13%
Bottle condition, capsule good, label good, wine level in neck
Tasting Note 19/11/2025 -93 Points
Still a little closed on the nose but the palate certainly is much more evolved and open. Beautiful textbook rich velvety tropical fruits and honey.
