About the wine

Clos Apalta is a prestigious brand owned by Cash Lapostolle. it has its own wine making facilities within the vineyards where some of the vines were planted between 1915 and 1920, from stocks imported from France.

Typical blend Carmenere, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon. 75cl bottle. Abv 13.5%

Bottle condition, Capsule good, label good, wine level in neck

Layers upon layers of black fruit, ripeness but not marmelade, full on sweet spices, pleasant, welcoming. 
Palate follows the nose, huge on black fruit, liquorice, a touch warm, thick oak frame but it will settle down, long finish.
