Chateau Montrose Vintage 1967

One of the best estates in Saint-Estephe. Known in the past for producing muscular wines, although 1967 was a lighter style of vintage. Robert Parker wrote that this was one of the better wines of the vintage.

Typical blend, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc. 75cl Bottle. Abv% not stated.

Bottle condition, capsule good, labels are bin soiled,, wine level top shoulder

Omg did this change ….cork a moldy mess…ullage low into the shoulder….rusty water in the decanter that smells rancid. After 45 mins a bit of color, texture, nose all emerge. Leather, cherry, dust, tobacco edges. Integrated and wonderful.
