Chateau Garonne Ste Gemme Vintage 2011

A firm Wine Cru favourite.Château Caronne Ste Gemme is an estate just south of Saint-Julien in the Haut Medoc. Its grand vin is a classic Bordeaux blend, and was classified as a Cru Bourgeois  Supérieur of Haut-Médoc in 1932 and Cru Bourgeois Exceptionnel in 1966. Traditional made and does well in the not so great vintages like 2011.

Typical blend, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Petit Verdot.

Bottle condition, capsule excellent, label excellent, wine level in neck

Mature nice bottle with some hints of stable and leather early on. Less over time. Still fruit and some tannins but probably at its peak. Not very long finish.
