Palate: Enters with Plum and Bruised Strawberry fruit, then dried blackberry notes and tobacco. Acidity and Minerality are featured, giving balance to leather, green pepper and sage notes. Finish: Moderate with plum fruit and minerally stone notes. \u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eFruit was a bit darker than the last bottle, but it also had more time to open up. This shows far more old world, and would be at home in a lineup of 70's\/80's bordeaux. I also think the terroir of Mt. Veeder is expressed nicely in this wine.
