Decanted a couple of hours before tasting (not long enough). Dark fruit on the nose with hints of cedar. The palate is very dry (not a hint of sweetness) with mainly blackcurrant fruit and still dominated by typical Cissac mouth-puckering astringency, tannins\/cedar, and acidity. It benefitted from time in the glass\/decanter, softening over 8 hours. The palate was long and rich at this point.\u003cbr\u003eIt came into its own with rare roast sirloin when it was richer, softer, better balanced, and much less austere.
